Brenna Burns Yu

Brenna Burns Yu (she/they) is the author and illustrator of Hazel and Twig: The Lost Egg, and Hazel and Twig: The Birthday Fortune, both published by Candlewick Press. Hazel and Twig: The Lost Egg was a finalist for the 2021 Connecticut Book Awards, and an early version of The Birthday Fortune won a New Voices in Children's Literature Tassy Walden Award. They have an MFA from the Fiber Department of the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Brenna is represented by Linda Camacho at Gallt & Zacker Literary Agency.
